It’s been a busy couple of days! On Saturday, we left Chicago and headed towards Minneapolis, MN for the Mall of America. We had a LONG drive of 7 hours. During our LONG drive, we saw many interesting sights: an indoor ferris wheel, the Mighty Mississippi, the Laura Ingalls Wilder Historic Highway, and a spilled-out cooler in the middle of the road – someone must be missing some t-bones!
There’s not too much out in these parts, so we had to make our own fun. Luckily DJ Jazzy Jon kept the jams pumpin’.
After 2 pairs of shoes, 2 dresses, roller coaster rides and the ferris wheel, a little bit of arguing, and a free Auntie Anne’s cinnamon sugar pretzel, we were exhausted! We shopped until we dropped, literally! AND we still had 4 more hours to drive to get to our hotel! We booked a hotel in Sioux Falls, SD so that we could be closer to the Badlands and Mount Rushmore. Of course, I feel asleep in the car because we didn’t get there until 2:30 a.m.
The next morning, we slept in! The sleep schedule has been the hardest thing to adjust to for me. If I don’t get a good night’s sleep, I’m cranky! :-/
